Welcome to the CISO:CLUB. We are excited to have you here!
The club was initiated by the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center at Tel Aviv University (ICRC) and Milestone, to create a professional and high-quality community of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs). Our goal is to foster open and professional discussions on critical and innovative topics, provide a platform for exchanging ideas and practical tips, and build a strong network among managers in the field of information security. Importantly, this community is free from commercial or marketing content.
We understand that building and maintaining a high-quality community of CISOs is a vital mission that can greatly benefit all participants. To protect the community’s integrity and support its growth, we have outlined the following guidelines.
By joining the community, you acknowledge and accept to these guidelines:
1.Mutual Assistance:
The community is intended to assist, consult, and share professional knowledge. Feel free to ask questions or raise issues related to information security – every community member is welcome to help as much as they can. Please avoid politics, personal criticisms, and divisive topics (except the important debate: iPhone vs. Android).
2.No Marketing or Advertising:
Promotional communications or direct service offers are not allowed in the community. Professional recommendations about vendors or services are welcome, but if the recommendation involves a personal connection (e.g., family or close friendship), a product your company sells, or any commercial interest (such as lead referral compensation or shares in the recommended company), full disclosure is required.
3.Community Members:
The community is exclusively for CISOs (or individuals in equivalent roles, such as a country-level Security Director under a parent company) from recognized organizations. Members must not hold roles related to sales or service delivery in the cybersecurity field where community members could be potential clients.
4.Immediate Updates:
Members must inform the organizers if they change roles to one that no longer meets the community’s criteria, especially if it involves sales. Relevant members are expected to leave the community as needed (we’ll even host a virtual toast to celebrate their new role ). This ensures the community remains exclusively for CISOs.
5.Confidentiality and Privacy:
To foster an environment where members can speak freely without concerns about being later overwhelmed with surprise sales calls, no information shared within the community may be shared externally without prior approval from the original author. Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all members. Sharing the members’ contact details or copying the member list is prohibited.
6.Anonymous Questions:
If a member wishes to post a question anonymously, they are welcome to contact one of the community admins, who will post the question on their behalf.
7.Meetings:
From time to time, physical meetings will be held. These events will be exclusively for club members. Exceptions require prior approval.
8.Recommendations:
Members are encouraged to recommend other CISOs to join the community by filling out the following form: https://www.ciso.club/cisoclub/request-an-invite.
